Code of Conduct

Introduction

Metacamp provides educational content, workshops, events, and programmes based in Singapore, we are committed to providing a positive and safe learning environment for our diverse community of students. We believe in fostering an inclusive and equitable culture that promotes respect, empathy, and collaboration. We expect all students, staff, and instructors to abide by this Code of Conduct, which outlines the standards of behaviour we expect from everyone in our community.

Respectful Behavior

We expect all members of our community to treat each other with respect and dignity, regardless of their background, beliefs, or opinions. Discrimination, harassment, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. We celebrate diversity in all its forms, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, and disability.

Academic Integrity

We expect all students to maintain high standards of academic integrity. Cheating, plagiarism, or any form of academic misconduct is strictly prohibited. We encourage all students to approach their work with honesty, diligence, and intellectual curiosity.

Professionalism

We expect all students, staff, and instructors to behave professionally at all times. This includes being punctual, dressed appropriately, and being prepared for class. We also expect students to be respectful of the equipment and facilities provided by Metacamp. We value the diversity of experiences and perspectives that each member brings to our community, and we expect everyone to contribute positively to the learning environment.

Collaboration

We encourage collaboration and teamwork among our diverse community of students. However, we expect all students to respect the intellectual property rights of others and to not engage in any activity that would be considered unethical or illegal. We believe that diverse teams are more innovative, resilient, and effective, and we encourage all students to embrace different viewpoints and approaches to problem-solving.

Code of Ethics

All students, staff, and instructors are expected to abide by a code of ethics that promotes honesty, integrity, and professionalism. This includes a commitment to respecting the privacy and security of others, avoiding conflicts of interest, and adhering to best practices. We recognise that the ethical implications of coding are complex and multifaceted, and we encourage our community to engage in meaningful discussions about the social, cultural, and economic impacts of their work.

Reporting Violations

Any violation of this Code of Conduct should be reported to Metacamp immediately. Metacamp will investigate all reports of violations and take appropriate action, which may include expulsion from the program. We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment where all members of our community feel valued and respected.
